Movement is super important for juniors, but how do we teach that now that the majority of our lives is spent sitting in front of a screen or teacher? 

My goal is fairly simple for juniors and adults. I want to teach the essential movement patterns for a healthy life. This will give people the tools to overcome any movement or sport with ease that they may encounter in life and therefore prevent injury.

This can involve climbing, jumping, swinging, throwing, squatting, pressing... all sorts. 

We need to learn these movement patterns before we add extra load.

Loading the bar or picking up too heavy dumbbells is often an oversight that most of us are guilty of doing when we start our health and fitness journey (myself included). 

Avoiding rushing into this alone is the formula for a healthy relationship with training. To continue with training long term, see clear progression and most importantly to avoid injuries. 

Every new client will always start with a short movement assessment. These tests vary if you are a junior or an adult. However, they will still highlight any restrictions that would affect regular training and give us an excellent starting point. 

For Who?

  • All juniors (every junior, from having no sport background to an athlete in SM Leagues) will benefit from learning how to move properly and avoid injuries. 

  • Adults who are looking to start training with technique emphasis first.

  • Functional Training for Adaptive Athletes

  • Crossfit Level 1
