LETS MAKE FUNCTIONAL FITNESS THE NEW NORMAL

From the beginning, training at the gym has been focused on the idea of ​​practicing movements, rather than focusing on moving our bodies. The difference in tone is small, but while practicing movements, the movement itself is the core of the practice, not your own body.

We started with bodybuilding and gym machine training, from where we continued to Olympic lifting. One would think that a lot has changed, but still all of these are troubled by the same problem: Everyone does the same standardized movements and the same movements are repeated from week to week in the same way in spite of the body’s ability to perform these movements. Thus, health-promoting fitness takes into account the fact that every body is different, equipped with a different history. Therefore, bringing the health perspective back into exercise would be an important step so that we can genuinely support people’s well-being in their daily lives.

In our daily lives, movements occur unexpectedly, quickly and unpredictably, and on the other hand, it is counterbalanced by long periods when the body does not receive movement at all. Therefore, it would be important that these issues are also taken into account in training. A body that gets a minimal amount of movement during daily life, may not be ready for any of the movements that make a part of many sports. Health-oriented training should always start from the viewpoint of the body and not from the perspective of the sport itself.

Our mission is to change the traditional way of training and coaching

We train people with different bodies that hold different histories and recognize that they need different movements to be able to feel good. The core of our coaching are the people we coach and not any specific sport. No sports are really promoting the health of our bodies, because if our bodies were allowed to decide, then it would not repeat the same movements, in the same patterns many times in a row. However, this is at the heart of every sport.

What we need in order to create more health is not to repeat movements with set standards and specific movement patterns and repeat those day after day. What we really need is to start with our bodies first: to make our bodies move as they were designed and then move them in all possible ways without specializing in any. Health oriented training is not sport specific, it must be body specific. Firstly getting better at moving your body and only secondly better at specific movements.

MOVE BETTER, LIVE HEALTHIER

What rarely happens as we start training: getting assessed. Without someone assessing how our bodies move, how can we be taught things that match our level and make us feel better? We cannot. Without assessing, we are only guessing and many times those guesses go wrong and people get injured.

Everyone who starts training at Stadifit gets assessed. Based on the assessment, we know exactly how your body moves, what it needs and what it can and cannot do.

Based on that, we know exactly what your body needs in order to start moving better and feeling better.

HEALTH is not just our goal, it’s Also our starting point

Knowing your starting point and knowing your goal, we can start making better decisions and choices for it. So that it can feel better today, tomorrow and in 20 years from now!

We do this by coaching you;

  • based on your individual needs

  • to reach your specific training goals within the 3-5 hours a week you spend at the gym

  • to make better choices in your every day life within the rest 165 hours a week as you live your daily life

 
 

what is level method?

This is why you get personal coaching in our group sessions.

The Level Method is a perfect match to how we do things at Stadifit. It is a comprehensive system of assessment and progress measurement that gives you a clear idea of your current level of physical preparedness, or fitness, in all areas. It enables you to take confident action by allowing you to focus on  the 1-2 areas of your fitness that will have the greatest impact on improving your overall level. 

The Level Method grading or levels colour system works in the same way as in Brazilian jiujitsu, where you are graded into your current level with a belt colour. 

The colour system provides a very clear, safe and focused approach to your training, with every workout having a colour or level-based guide for the workout of the day. And if you decide to do additional accessory training to progress more quickly, you will know exactly where to focus your action.
